I have a 9 yr old yellow lab that shed like crazy! I could get brush fulls of hair off him each grooming session. It seemed like endless hair. I was feeding him Iams dog food. I switched to Hills Science diet and within a month the shedding significantly decreased. It’s now been two months and I can’t believe the difference! When I brush him there is very little hair in the brush. He can rub against my leg without leaving behind a coat of white hair. If I’d have known it would be this big of a difference I would have switched years ago! Well worth the extra money not to have hair everywhere.

My two old ones 11 and 12 years old, have the stamina like they are still puppies. Besides their grey hair, this 7+ Active Longevity dog meal has all the ingredients to keep your senior strong, active, and full of energy. My babies are not having any joint issues at all and i believe it is because of the 7+ Active Longevity dog meal. This is one for your senior's is great.

I always seem to find mature dog food or weight control dog food, never BOTH IN ONE. My elderly, overweight dog seems to love this, as does the normal sized old dog. It’s only been a few days and she’s already looking more svelte. I know it’s gross but the farts are a lot less frequent and less stinky too. That’s a huge added bonus. I’ll but this again.

I used to work as a veterinary technician at an animal hospital and this is the brand that my vet sold and recommended. This brand takes the time to study their food and make sure that animals properly grow on it. They are also AAFCO certified meaning it follows proper regulation and guidelines for pet food distributers. Ive never seen a recall on it and ive never met a vet that didnt recommend it. All of my old vet coworkers and family members feed their pets this diet. Most importanty, my dogs love it. I have one very picky jack russell and one not picky pitbull and they both scarf it down. My 15lb jack russell has no problem chewing the regular sized pellets. As far as price goes, it probably falls in the middle of the dog food scale. I think it is well priced for a healthy diet my babies love.

I had switched to this food after going through a few for my 14 year old Bulldog/Dalmatian mix. I had him on Purina for many years, but as he got older even their senior dog mix didn't do much for him. I next switched him to Blue Buffalo, which I found out too late is very high in carbs and even though I was feeding him less, he gained a lot of weight very quickly. At my vet's recommendation, I then switched him to Royal Canin, which caused him to get sick and have seizures and low energy. Frustrated, I went to Consumer Affairs and many other serious sites with reviews, and Science Diet kept coming up as a clearly good selection. I then switched my poor dog to Science Diet about 6 months ago and the seizures stopped, he gained more energy, his weight is exactly where it should be, and he seems happier and healthier than ever. Really happy with these results - when you have a dog this old, the right food really makes a huge difference in the quality of life.
